Free airport Wi-Fi from Skype

Merry Christmas, air travelers! Starting today, Skype is setting out to make travel a little more pleasant this holiday season by offering one hour of free Wi-Fi at more than 50 airports across the United States, including LaGuardia, JFK and Newark Liberty.

From December 21 through December 27, travelers will be able to access third-party hotspots using Skype Wi-Fi and connect with loved ones via a Skype video or voice call for free.

Skype Wi-Fi is available to travelers on PCs, Macs and iOS devices. To get started, make sure you've downloaded the latest version of Skype for Windows, Skype for Mac or Skype Wi-Fi app. Sign in with a valid Skype ID, and then check your wireless network connection to see if you're in a supported hotspot.
