Texas toasted, Hunter S. Thompson and a dust storm wedding

Texas got toasted.  Game 6 of the World Series will go down as one of the most exciting ever.   Down to their last strike twice, the Cardinals rallied twice against the Rangers and then won the game on a walk-off homerun by David Freese in the 11th.

Freese also saved St. Louis with a two-strike, two-out, two-run triple off Rangers closer Neftali Feliz that tied it in the ninth.  The thrilling finish sparked a feast of tweets from fans and even players.

@JodyWHL  Zombies and the #Cardinals.... neither will die! great game for any fan! #Game7 #WorldSeries

@tedegly Nolan Ryan might be coming out of retirement to pitch for the Rangers. #WorldSeries #Game7

@JarrodBParker  Greatest game of the year?!... Yes! Greatest #WorldSeries game ever!? Maybe but who's ready for #game7 now!

@ImThatGuyJG Glad I can say that I watched one of the greatest games in World Series history tonight. It all comes down to tomorrow night! #Game7

@sdanzeiser  This world series is awesome. Even though I'm going for Texas I don't want this to be the last game #game7

And he got his wish!  Game 7 is tonight.

It's back to the 90s as Beavis and Butthead are the hot trend this morning after returning to MTV and appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel show on ABC.   The pair took over the show, interviewing Snooki in a video that's gone viral on YouTube.

Fitness guru Jennifer Nicole Lee is a hot search because she ran around a beach in Miami playing football in a see-through white top that read "Kiss My ABS!"   People are searching for the photos, and yes, they are on the net.

#RejectedPeanutsSpecials is a trending conversation on Twitter after It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown aired on ABC.  People are suggesting titles for Charlie Brown specials that never made it to tv, such as:

You're the Father, Charlie Brown

I Am Your Father, Charlie Brown (Star Wars crossover)

The Cat Next Door Ate Woodstock Charlie Brown

Whose Linus Is It Anyway?

Hunter S. Thompson is trending because The Rum Diary starring Johnny Depp hits the big screen today.  The book was inspired by Thompson's experiences in Puerto Rico.  I haven’t read the book, but judging by the title, he probably drank a lot rum.  Depp discovered the unpublished manuscript when visiting Thompson's Colorado home in the 1990s. Together, they decided to publish the novel.  Now, it’s a movie.  Thompson died in 2005.

The hottest movie rental on iTunes is Captain America: The First Avenger… The hottest app is Reckless Getaway, where you weave in and out of oncoming traffic; dodge, outrun or ram pursuing police cars and just generally crash, smash and thrash your way through 16 varied levels….  And Rihanna holds onto the hottest song with We Found Love….

The most viewed music video belongs to Beyonce performing Party (featuring J Cole)….

Also on YouTube, smashing pumpkins is a hot video ahead of Halloween….

If smashing pumpkins is not your bag, how about blowing up stuff with cool science experiments?

Another explosion is trending… this one to open up the Condit Dam on the White Salmon River in Washington.   The dam has been there for nearly 100 years, but Portland, Ore.-based utility PacifiCorp, elected to remove it rather than pay to install fish passage structures that would have been required for relicensing.   Biologists actually removed white salmon from the river prior to the blast to protect them.  The entire dam will be removed next year.

Finally, when planning an outdoor wedding, you worry about the weather, but you probably don't think about the possibility of a dust storm….

That's the trend!

Make it a great weekend,
