City vs. Suburbs: Which provides a better life?

Do you think you get a better quality of life living in the city or in the suburbs?  Why?  According to the 2012 MAS Survey on Livability 84% of people in New York City say life is good!  More than 75% of people say that the city is a good place to raise children, while some surveyed had concerns about crime and employment.
