Could you stand by your parent?

John Edwards' mistress, Rielle Hunter, reveals details of affair that rocked 2008 election on 20/20 tonight.   Our question of the day is whether you could stand by a parent in the way that Kate Edwards has stood by her father?   Do you think she stood have?   Post your comments below and we may use them on Eyewitness News.

Be sure to watch Chris Cuomo's interview with Rielle Hunter tonight on "20/20" at 10 p.m. on Channel 7.

I don't know what I would do. Every situation is different. You can not judge other peoples relationships. I just hope that I would be fair.

I could stand by my father if he were John Edwards, but not Jerry Sandusky!

I am sure she was hurt and embarrassed for the family about the affair. But why should she not have stood by her father? Afterall Rielle is an adult, SHE could have walked away from the situtation. I feel sorry for Edwards daughter with Rielle. I fear she will be bullied and picked on until she becomes an adult.
