Sales vs. Markdowns

J.C. Penney is permanently marking down all of its merchandise by at least 40 percent so shoppers will no longer have to wait for a sale to get the lowest prices in its stores. New Yorkers: Naughty or nice?

New York City may top tops a lot of top 10 lists, but now the Big Apple has a dubious distinction, according to "Travel and Leisure" magazine. It named New York America's rudest city, beating out Miami and Washington, D.C. The magazine citied the city's "flamboyant, bird-flipping spirit." But what do you think?
