The Cross Bronx Expressway (pretend it doesn't exist because it won't get you anywhere) average speed 11mph
Route 110 since its always a disaster no matter what time of year
The Long Island Expressway (LIE because it never moves)

I would definitely avoid Route 4 and 17 in Paramus, NJ. They are filled with mall traffic and a horror to all those who live there.

Im shocked that the notorious BQE is not on that list of worst roads. Talk about bottleneck at one point by the queens Brooklyn border, you have 8 lanes merge into 3... That tops the list in my opinion.

I avoid all of them, whenever possible, and opt for walking and mass transit instead. This allows me to enjoy holiday lights and decorations I might otherwise miss, I save time, and above all I save myself the aggravation of sitting in bad traffic. Happy holidays!
