Regis,Thank you for all the years of laughter and tears you shared with all your fans. Thank you for sharing you with us. You are a tough act to follow and Live won't be the same without you. Hope to see you soon on tv. God Bless You.

Dianne

I have watched you for years and loved every minute. I watched your farewell on Friday and it took me 4 pieces of paper towel to get through it. The rest of the day was really crappy. I like Kelly but I am afraid I will not be able to turn on Live With Kelly. It would not be the same without you there so I will just have to find something else to watch at 9:00 AM every morning.

roslyn

Thank you for many years of good times---you made us laugh and cry and sometimes we did both at the same time---you will missed by your fans---much love and enjoy yourself!

Monica Straka

Regis, you have been a great icon of your talk show and I will miss you very much. Also, I have recalled that you have done a great job winning $50,000 to charity on Celebrity Jeopardy! in Radio City Music Hall in November 2006 and I am very proud of you. Good luck to the rest of your life. Bobby Bains.

Dear Regis,
sending this to you from
ROLANDO KNOLLS DRIVE in San Diego, the street you lived on when you worked at KFMB Ch. 8 when I was a little girl.

Do you remember reading my letter on the air all those years ago on Ch. 8 when you had your wisdom teeth out and I wrote to tease you that I was chewing grape bubble gum right after oral surgery? Haha you did all your funny faces. My parents were mortified, especially my dad, a stern senior high principal. The neighbor called my mom after hearing my name on tv, she thought I'd been in an accident!!

Haha what a bunch of stuffs right Regis? But you knew what to do and how to make it a 'bit' and I really felt like you 'got' me .. you taught me I could be funny and I've studied you ever since.

I grew up, became a pubic school teacher, married 31 yrs, mom to 3 kids and though when I wrote u the letter I lived in Kensington, I now live on Rolando Knolls Dr. only a few houses down from where you used to live. Pretty amazing!

I love you so much Regis.. you are the best! Come back to SAN D

Michele Aquilino

Dear Regis - I had the pleasure of working with you and your staff in the mid 80's. Your show came to The Mall at Short Hills, in Short Hills, NJ. I was part of the mgt staff for the mall. We helped "produce" the show from the mall for the whole week. You were so kind and down to earth - you made all of us non TV folks feel great. Your beautiful wife was there w/you also - she was just as nice as you. At the end of the week, we escorted you and Joy around the mall to "shop"...you were so funny and kind and you stopped to talk and take photos w/all. I wish you and your lovely family the best that life has to offer. Will always be a fan! You are the best! XXOO

Dear Regis: You always made me laugh. You made me give a rip about how Notre Dame did in Football. I cried when you lost Ashley. I always wondered how you had the energy to go out every night and do what you did. Please have fun (which I know you will) in whatever you do. You are a delight. I'll miss seeing you each morning. I won't miss Gelman. I'll miss Shully. I know you'll enjoy whatever you do. Get a new cat and a puppy. I swear you'll love it!

Dear Regis, I,ve wanted to thank you for along time, because you were the last person to make my Mom laugh. It was your Chip-N-Dale Show(February, 1984) when you were doing the strip with the dancers, you were trying to take your pants off like them, but unlike them you had your shoes on!! We both laughed until we cried!! My Mom died April 8th 1984. So thank you for making her laugh that day, and for all the other days you made me laugh, and made me think of her,God Bless you and yours. Hope to see you soon and often.

Alex

You have come a long way from the days when as a kid, I used to watch you on the local station in San Diego.... Well done and best wishes in your new endeavours...

Regis was like a family member! He was always in my living room. He reminded me of my own father, especially the talking with the hands. I had the good fortune of seeing him twice on his show as well as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire once. I also met him at the Palisades Center last year when he was signing his and Joy's CD. Love that he's from the Bronx, and he's so personable. He will be missed tremendously! The show will never be the same! Regis was like a family member! He was always in my living room. Marie Mahoney

My Dear Regis:
I have watched you everyday - taping it to enjoy after work, or when the kiddies were asleep many years ago - keeping the especially funny ones for when I needed a 'lift'.

I will miss your sweet smile & endearing gaffes! That is what makes you YOU and people being able to identify with you! You have the graciousness of a true professional, always making every person comfortable (whether you agreed with them or not).

Went to my first Notre Dame game this weekend in Maryland & constantly thought of you - my first game just before your last TV show.......

I think you should be Dave Letterman's ''Ed McMahon''!!! :)
Enjoy yourself - you deserve the best!!!!

Teresa

Regis, you brought happiness to so many lives every morning. You will be greatly missed. We'll be waiting for your next venture. May God bless you and your family!

Holly

Regis, I have watched and Loved you since you started the show in NY. I can't even imagine not seeing your face every day. You always made me smile and laugh. In my heart you are part of my family. You are the best story teller ever and I am devastated to see you leave. I am also devastated that my DVR chose not to record your last show today. I am pleading with ABC to air this show again. I would also be glad to purchase the show on DVD.
I hope to see you again soon on the air. Please don't disappear from TV. You are one of a kind and no one can replace you.
God Bless you Regis and I hope to see you soon !!!!
With A Lot of Love, Holly from NJ

BERNADETTE JENSEN

Dear Regis,

You are a true "icon". You have made my days so much better. I have enjoyed watching you since the "local morning days". I wish you all the best on "whatever" is next for you.
Enjoy sleeping in!!! You are a treasure & will be truly missed.
Bernadette

Rita

Regis,
I watched you from back in the late 80's. Loved you and Kathie Lee together and continued to enjoy you with Kelly.
You always made me laugh, just watching you laugh made me crack up! Remember when you learned the Moccasin dance on the piano and then did a little recital on the show? LOL Did you ever get any better??
I watched this morning with tears in my eyes and said a little prayer that only good things come your way and that you and your lovely family enjoy what the future holds for all of you. Keep on laughing and don't be a stranger!

Oscar Wilcox

Regis, you will be missed I have watched the show since my high school days. As you began the next stage of your life, I hope you success and enjoyment. You have made a difference in my life with your joyful personality

"New York Icons"

Best of Luck.

Go Notre Dame Football!

Karen Pappas

Dear Regis. I have recorded your show everyday since I retired in June 2010. Today, I sat down w a cup of coffee after I got back from church all ready to watch your show. Guess what: today it did not record. Did ABC change the name of today's show, so that it inadvertently resulted in the show not being able to be recorded. PLEASE ABC re-run this show AGAIN. I am so upset I missed it.
All the best to you Regis, you are a class act.

Karen

Angie Falber

I am 37. Regis has been a part of my life for so long that I do not remember life with out him! Regis was there every day when I took care of my mother through her illness, including the day she passed. The same with my father. Now, as I am battling my own illness, I am going to miss him terribly. He was a bright spot every morning. I cried through out the show today... for me, this is like when my best friend moved away.. even though she was there, it was just not same because I could not see her every day. Regis was there on my wedding day, the day I lost my mother, father, and sister. He kicked off my Halloweens... and he sang to us every Christmas. He celebrated the Yankees wins! On belhalf of my family, we thank you, we love you, and we will miss you! Best of luck Reege! God bless you!

Tom J

I never started by day without watching you on the show. You are a master storyteller and a wonderful character!
I Cant wait to see what you do next!

DENNIS

AS A PARENT OF CHILDREN THAT WENT REGIS GRAMMER SCHOOL AND A SON WHO WENT TO SAME HIGH SCHOOL I WOULD LIKE TO SEND REGIS BEST WISHES AND MANY THANKS FOR HIS SUPPORT

AnaMarie Nazario

I have grew up watching Regis. Its the end of an era. The show will not be the same without him he was the comedy and heart of the show I hope he comes back but if not t.v programming is changing drastically.Wish Regis all the best.

Liz

Stayed home from work today to see Regis' farewell show. I was home on maternity leave when his show started. My daughter is 28 1/2. I was lucky to have attended his show twice. He was just as funny during the commercial break. Dr. Ruth was on and he asked me what juicy details of my sex life did I want to discuss with her. We got a good laugh. I also met Joy. Beautiful lady.

Mary JoAmbrozia

Dear Regis,

My husband and I were in your studio audience about twenty years ago. I was impressed with how friendly you were with the audience during commercial breaks. You came into the audience and spoke with many. I will really miss you every morning. You always brought a smile to my face. Good luck with all future endeavors.

Sincerely, Mary Jo Ambrozia

Jacqueline S, New Rochelle, NY

I also watched when I was sick and you made me feel better or at least got a chuckle

God Bless and enjoy

Julia

Dear Regis going to miss you show I wish you luck

Corey

Regis, this is your good friend Corey Williams in Manassas, VA. I grew up with you in New York between 1983 and 1991, and even when I came down here in 1991 until now I grew up with you, and from you being from the Bronx (me from Parkchester, I'm gonna miss you. I remember when in Washington, I wanted Live! to be on Channel 7, when it left for a minute to be on Channel 5-WTTG. Anyway, from saying "Good Morning it's (date), a (adjective) day in New York, and they show what's going on in NY, to you spinning a chair out for a woman/co-host, I'm gonna miss you. Believe. I hope to see you in NY. God Bless and 1 luv to you and your family.

Cheryl Patti

Thank you Regis for so many wonderful years. A cup of coffee and Regis & Kelly! What a way to start the day. I will miss you. God bless you as you "move on".

Nilda Domenech

Regis, Best of luck, I know you will be missed I have laughed watching so many of your shows & today I cried, enjoy your retirement the best is yet to come.

silvia brooks

Regis,
I work F/T now, so I really haven't gotten to see your show except on Holidays, but when I have seen it, I LOVED it....you and Kelly had chemistry together, and that made the show click....there are co-hosts, BUT....a GOOD co-host is hard to find. Except for the times when Joy was there, Kelly was your BEST co-host by far....

You are REALLY going to be missed all over the country, but ESP. to us here in the tri-state area. You were a fixture. You had that "it" factor that will NOT be found anytime soon, because you....are real and sincere, and that's what we all love about you.

I wish you the very BEST in whatever you go on to do....please come back to Channel seven again, or I LOVED watching MILLION DOLLAR PASSWORD when YOU hosted it, so keep THAT in mind. You NEED to remain in the public, you are just that good.

Take care, and the very BEST OF GOOD LUCK TO YOU IN WHATEVER YOU GO ON TO DO.

Most Sincerely,
Silvia B.

Kevin L. Sealy

Dear Regis,

I was in the studio audience on your second day, "The Morning Show" Tuesday April 5, 1983. This was a day that I remember very well, because I was on an Easter break from St. John's University. Right after the show I went to Open Day at Shea Stadium where the Mets played the Phillies. It was also the day Tom Seaver made his return to the Mets, which they beat the Phillies 2-0.

I wish you the best in your future endeavorss.

Sincerely,
Kevin L. Sealy

Josie Wolfe

Regis,
Thank you for the wonderful entertainment. I don't know how or what to do to start my week this Nov. 21. You will be miss and thank you for everything. Goodluck and God Bless.

Sally Adams

Kelly teared up. She's sorry she won't be able to ride Regis anymore because of his few failings....the forgotten word, name, etc. She absolutely reveled in his aging. I can't imagine watching the show Monday. I watched Seinfeld twice and never watched again. He was a bore. Can't wait to hear where Regis will reappear. He is a class act and will be sorely missed. The show won't go on with the pretty air head.

Elaine Kennerly

Regis, wow I'm going to miss you so much! I've watched you since you started here in NYC.
Thank you so much, for all the smiles you put on my face. Truly, you helped me make it through some days, with laughter and your stories. I loved the diagrams! You were just you! I love you and hope I won't miss you, because I'll be waiting for your return! I was on your show once... the time you had Aretha Franklin on. I came with Pastor Bobby Lewis's group. If you need a good vocal coach let me know?

Eileen

Fodhlí Dea agus ádh mór! (Good Bye and Good Luck!) Wishing Regis and Joy health and happiness.

Michael gonzalez

THAT'S RIGHT FOLK'S!
Regis is from the Bronx.

Michael gonzalez

Regis,
I know you thank God each day for all your blessings. Which is why you face the world with a smile. Keep smiling my brother and the world will keep smiling with you

Jackie H

I started watching because of my mother who watched for many years before she died in 1991. We even had a chance to be a part of the audience several years before she passed away.

Since I retired in 2009, I haven't missed many shows myself. I especially look forward to the time when the wheel is spun and someone has the opportunity to win a great trip. Regis would make that time all the more fun with his impatience when the call wouldn't go through. It would also make me laugh when Regis would reject anything that had to do with electronics.

Regis and KellY indeed bring joy to the start of my day with their bantering and lightheartedness. I love their commaraderie. It's such a relief not to get any doom or gloom while watching TV.

Regis I'll miss seeing you as you move on.

Pamela

Regis,

My Grandmother loved your show, she was a true fan. I was not able to share time with her as an adult because she died of cancer at age 55. However I feel like I'm sharing time with her when I turn on your show and have coffee and a laugh. I think how she'd love your last joke. Now your leaving and even if the show goes on I'm losing that because she died before Kelly was on the show. The show goes on but it will never be the same. Thank you for the time Regis.

Sandra Andrews

Son of a gun, congratulations on a such successful run! All the best to you and your future endeavors.

April Cowan

Good luck to you and Joy! I'm going to miss watching you.

Jerry McCann

Hi Regis, I will miss kowing you made so many folks happy in the morning...this may goodbye in one way but I hope you return to tv even if it's only every so often...we need you Reg, and everyone loves ya bud!

Vivian Rosati

Dear Regis,
A few years ago, my sisters and I had met you in Madison Square Garden during a WWE(WWF)wrestling show. You had seats in the row behind us. You were very gracious and humorous the entire time. You even made mention of us on your show the next morning, which surprised and delighted us beyond belief. You had learned that night that we were good friends with Vince McMahon and his family and that we had a small involvement with his company. A little while later that same year, we met you again in Los Angeles when Wrestlemania was happening there. We were all in the Los Angeles Hilton's lounge two nights before the event took place. Again, you were very gracious and humorous. You even introduced us to actress Beverly DeAngelo that night. We will never forget how you made us laugh and feel at home in our surroundings. It will be a fond memory for us for many years to come. We will miss seeing you every morning and wish you all the best in your future endeavors. God bless you for all the wonderful moments you've given to everyone who watched your show evolve into such a marvelous institution. Good luck and we hope to see you on T.V. again soon.

Ana Torre

Regis, you gave us 28 beautiful years on Live. It won't be the same without you, but we did have great times as part of your audience on the show. These memories will always be cherished in our hearts. When I watch the show, I laugh a lot, you and Kelly make a great team. My favorite moments on the show are when you and Kelly were in the kitchen and you were the chef. You are good at everything and always make us laugh. You are moving on and I wish you only the best, please come and visit Live and surprise your audience once in a while. I remember when I was in line with my friends and all of a sudden we look at the elevator open up and there you are, it was the best feeling. We will miss you. Love always, Julie and Friends

Regis Philbin has been a part of my daily morning routine for the past 23 years. Even on the worst day I could always count on Regis to lift my mood and make me laugh. I will miss spending my mornings with Regis and Kelly. Together they are so genuinely sweet. I loved all of the personal stories and just how they always cared about what was going on in each others life. You could always feel the love. Such a wonderful way to start the day. After retiring 2 1/2 years ago I have spent the 9 o'clock hour having breakfast and watching your show. As I have gotten older I have come to realize that spending an hour being entertained, laughing a little, becoming nostalgic, and getting an occasional lump in the throat has been a wonderful way to start each week day. Regis, you and Kelly have provided humor, warmth, insight and a wonderfully positive slant on everything good that life has to offer. Your chemistry is remarkable; in my mind you are a team that can never be surpassed. Good luck to you in the future and as you have so often quoted and/or sung..."thanks for the memories..."

Thank you for so many years of entertainment. You are part of our family,we'll miss seeing you every morning. Good luck to you and enjoy your retirement!

Regis, I am 51 and the best part of being older is appreciating people like YOU. Before I was became umemployed I never paid much attention to daytime tv but knew all about you. For the last 1 1/2 years I have watched your show and felt like I was part of something. I think its funny, because my sister who's retired has a FIT if I call during your show. I will so much miss you and love the legacy you leave behind. There will never be another REGIS no matter who they put on the show, God Bless, Toni Sibley
