Co-ed housing at Rutgers University

Rutgers University will offer a gender-neutral housing program in three dorms that aims to make the campus more inclusive for gay students. I went to college in 1978 and we had coed rooms. Why is it news more than thirty years later?????

This is a double edged sword because it can be a source of drama and jealously between significant others or it can be a great experience. All though it can also be a source of tension between males and females because of the extracurricular activities that happen in college.
