New York or New Jersey Jets?

Governor Chris Christie has a message for Jets fans.  They're New Jersey's team.

"Today when they're practicing, where are they practicing? New Jersey. And when they play their homes games, where do they play? New Jersey. And where do most of their players live? In New Jersey," Governor Christie said on Tuesday.

A day earlier, he reminded reporters that coach Rex Ryan also lives in New Jersey.

New Yorkers have a much different view, as Senator Charles Schumer pointed out.

"It's the New York Jets and that's how the Jets want it. That's how the country wants it and New York is New York. Sorry Jersey," he said.

So who's right?  To which state do the Jets truly belong -- New York or New Jersey?  Click on comment below to offer your opinion and reasoning.  We may publish your response here or use it on Eyewitness News.

Keep the red and blue Giants as New York. At least one team's gotta represent NY!

Not only does the New Jersey Jets have a good ring to it, but they also have green and white -- perfect to represent the Garden State.

jerome

home game venue and history and loyal fan base, i think has presidence bt more so cos i called them the NewJerseyJets :) to a friend

Robert M. Aleman

Yes, alot of major sports team don't play in there own city's. However when your sports team(s) don't even play in there own state that is one thing. NY JETS/GIANTS play in NJ & Washington Redskins play in Landover,MD. If I was from those states I would be upset. Rooting for the home team that doesn't play in my own city & state. But carry the name. What sense does that make????

Bri

I'm from New Jersey and I think the Jets should be call the New Jersey Jets not only do the play here but their owner Woody Johnson lives in New Jersey. Also for the people who think people from New Jeresy try to say their from New York your wrong because people from New Jersey get mad if you called them New Yorkers

NY GIANTS

the reason the giants and jets r always going to be called new york is because thats where they started and there owners r from new york.

Andy

To be honest for those people that say that "NY doesn't have enough room to house the two best football teams of NYS", don't forget you have a big tumor growing out of NYS that is like 10x larger than the entire state of NJ to house any and all complexes.

So the excuse that there isn't enough room, please just stop. You have Upstate and LI. Don't blame Jersey for having better laws so that your inadequate state can't house their own teams.

And that's okay. Jersey will continue to prosper with having these teams in our state; we aren't second richest in the nation for no reason. We don't need to say anything, b/c we just let everything in our state show for itself. It's no mystery why both Giants and Jets coaches live in NJ and that overall, Jersey is more accessible to many passengers and visitors from all around the world.

Problems with accessing NYC/LI: Highways are terrible and congested and located on...oh yeah, an island.
Problems with accessing Upstate: Lack of infrastructure and dilapidated roads.

Advantages with having the stadiums in Jersey: Many accessible highways and easy (relatively) for people to come in and out. And yes we are on the mainland too.

So even if the stadiums and facilities could be "changed", why would they want to? If they were going to, they would've done it already and not built the most expensive stadium in our country in Jersey.

So the other teams will not relocated for the aformentioned reasons and that strategically (financially, business-wise, etc.), Jersey is a better location for the NY metro area teams.

sammybuca

I have to agree with Gov. Christie and one of the very few times. It's about time someone pushes for it. They pratice in NJ and they play in NJ, and the Giants' home office is here in NJ too. The teams should be named NJ. The Giants also have so many fans in NJ....I have been saying that they should be called the NJ Giants for years even when they were doing lousy!

Jersey Joe

Ive Always Wondered why the Giants and Jets dont play in NY. To me its a slap in the face of NY to be honest. Its like their saying we will be called The NY this and The NY that but we rather not Sleep in the city that never sleeps for fear of getting robbed. lol Its a quality of life thing i think. Many NY'ers relocate on the daily across the bridge because its the place to be. lets face it. :-)

cris

Here's the correct answer. Call them the "New York Demographic Area Jets" (and Giants).

Joe

They are most certainly the NEW YORK Jets. Yes they play and practice in Jersey...want to know why? New Jersey serves as a nice big, spacious backyard for NY and similar to a storage facility. Therefore, things such as a stadium that we have no room for or public support for in NY is built in NJ to house a NY team. The Jets started out playing in Shea Stadium in NY. The Jets practiced for most of their history on Long Island, NY at Hofstra. Those are their roots. The Upper West Side stadium got shot down and there were just too many hurdles to have the stadium built in NY. That's the only reason they play in Jersey. I also find it hilarious how people in Jersey all think they are New Yorker's just because they are our neighbors. Do you see people in Georgia saying they're from Florida, or acting like it? No. But people in Jersey are forced to share everything of ours because they aren't relevant as their own state. If it wasn't for NY, NJ would just be like Rhode Island which no one cares about. Not that people care about Jersey either. People in Jersey try so bad to make NYC their own, but sorry it belongs to NY. I don't care if you live in Hoboken and can throw a rock at one of the skyscrapers...you still live in NJ so stop trying to seem cool talking about how close you are to NY. NJ is and has always been New York's awkward little brother that is jealous of his older famous celebrity brother: NY. In conclusion, NJ is simply a storage facility for the NYC metro area, because we can't fit everything here. They are however still a New York team. And thank god they are...can you imagine if they were renamed the New Jersey Jets? That would be a marketing nightmare. No one would care about the team if they were called that.

Chris Brostowski

They BOTH should be called the NEW JERSEY JETS AND NEW JERSEY GIANTS!!!!! Shame on both of them for their DISRESPECTFULLNESS to NJ!! I dont know why fans support them. BOYCOTT them!!! Talk about a slap in the face to NJ!! New York, YOU SUCK!!!! like the Giants and Jets!!

tiffany

It should be new jersey jets not new york jets. They are from new jersey so why would they call the team new york jets it makes no sense at all!!! This gets me really mad that they are called new york jets!!!!

James

If the new York jet play home games and practice in new jersey, then they should be the new jersey jets . This should make up the minds for all . A team should represent it state not where the players or coach lives so if new
New York jets are called new York then that's where they should be . So if new jersey is where home games and practice are held then they should be the New Jersey Jets. I'm a Steelers fan personally ,but to me New Jersey Jets sounds good

james

Meh, so what? We got the New Jersey Devils, and they've won how many cups since the Rangers had their last one?

matt

its not going to be the new jersey jets. all the jersey people should just shut up make there OWN team i mean for real. chistie should just stop talking i bet he has no idea what hes talking about and new jersey jets dose not have a ring to it, NJJ that is just weird and i like, and so do thousand of other people, NYJ new york jets.

Marley Waterman

Please Please Donot change the name! i love the jets JUST THE WAY THEY ARE!! im 13 yrs old and a GIRL!!! if you change the name i will have to buy new sweatshirts with New Jersey Jets on it, t shirts with New Jersy Jets on it, even pants, and my poster!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT CHANGE THE NAME!!! I WILL BE SAD FOREVER! :( :(

FRED

The Jets have played in NJ longer than NY, and the Giants have played in NJ for 37 years and won all 3 of their SuperBowls in NJ! I think that more than qualifies them as NJ teams! If a team played in NY and had a NJ name you hypocrites would be the first ones to complain!

The Jets have played in NJ longer than they have played in NY, so of course they should change their name to New Jersey. Not doing so is an insult to both areas. The Jets are headquartered in NJ, pay taxes in NJ, and the coaches and most of the players live there!
When the Jets moved to NJ in 1984, NYers were crying, then mayor Ed Koch urged every NYer to root for the Buffalo Bills since they were the only NY team left. It's pretty arrogant for NY to think that it owns a team that plays in another state, every other team that ever moved to another state or area has changed its name accordingly. NY even refused to pay for a stadium for the Jets but NJ did pay for a stadium for them, and NY still thinks that it owns them? Wrong! They are in fact the New Jersey Jets and the owners need to face up to the truth and rename them!

Besides, "Jersey Jets" has a nice ring to it!

All of the above applies to the Giants, too!

Sandrese

I personally think that both the Giants and Jets are recognized as New York teams. They may play in New Jersey but the team names bear New York. Some may live in New Jersey but the payroll checks that they receive are issued by the New York Giants and New York Jets organizations. Both teams could easily call themselves New Jersey Jets or Giants. Why don't they. They will never ever drop New York from their names.

Yankee in DFW

Uh, TwHy, "The Dallas Cowboys do not play in Dallas, they play in Irving. The Redskins play in Landover Maryland as the Buffalo Bills do not play in Buffalo but in Orchard Park. So what is Gov. Christies problem.

Better get a better update. The Cowboys play in Arlington...not Irving since 2009.

Kw

Ny has 3 football teams I'm sure losing one would not be the most tragic thing that were to happen considering the only thing the jets have to affiliate themselves with my is the team name

Sam Daman

Calling the Jets, as New York is a pathetic joke. New York doesn't want them here nor the Giants. As stated above, they play, practice and live in New Jersey....You forgot one major point, their corporate office. Where is their corporate office? NOT in New York, but in fact New Jersey. So whats the big deal regarding the Jets called where they actually play? If thats the case, then the SF Giants and LA Dodgers should still be called NY Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers.
Here is another major point: What jurisdiction does the New York Jets file their taxes under? Definitely NOT New York, their corporate offices are based in New Jersey so they're paying New Jersey Corp Taxes, NOT New York State taxes. New York doesn't want any football team, nor do they want any native New Yorkers living there. Any thought on why so many New Yorkers have fled to New Jersey?

Anonymouse

They should stay that way . New Jersey doesnt want a team that sucks as their football team . And they would get beat by the STEELERS tomorrow soo , thats more embarassing keep it that way plesa kbye :)

FRED

Judging from the responses above, New Jersey is the winner! NYers have nothing to their arguments except their own opinions, while NJans have logical facts!

john

I remember when the Jets first moved to NJ; most NYers were crying all over their dirty streets about the loss, mayor Koch lamented that NY only had one team left, the Bills, and that everybody should root for them. THATS when the NJ politicians should have forced a name change (and on the Giants, too), when everybody expected it! By waiting we allowed NYers to get a false sense of entitlement regarding the name! That why I applaud Christie, maybe now we can rectify something that should have been corrected a long time ago and change the names to NJ!

By the way, NYers who say that we're jumping on the bandwagen now are just making excuses, people from NJ always wanted the name change.

To Dennis Iler above: NJ is not a parking lot of NY, but rather the place where many NYers go when they get money, sophistication and get sick and tired of NY, although we have to teach them how to speak English and pronounce the letter "R" when they get here.

You can tell the New Yorkers who respond because they don't sound very intelligent.
Most New Jerseyans always believed that the names of the Jets and Giants should be changed, not just around Super Bowl time. New Yorkers should be slammed in the face and knocked down a few notches because of their arrogance!
When the Nets move to that sh*thole Brooklyn, they should keep the New Jersey name and see how New Yawkuhs like it!

Anyway, the Super Bowl is returning in 2014 to the place where football was born: NEW JERSEY!

Charlie Brown

I think the Jets are a New Jersey team.... There loud and obnoxious just like the people from New Jersey.I would know I was born there and couldn't wait to leave..

Gov. Christie is right, they pratice in Jersey, thier home games are in Jersey, need I say more.. I'm a Giant fan..........But Jets all the way,,,,Go Jets...................Make NJ proud............ NY will share the glory with you.....................

Jeffrey Gurmankin

NJ Jets... doesn't ring well with me. Although they play in NJ doesn't mean that Gov. Christie can go abracadabra and change the NY to NJ. If he thinks the NJ Jets are going to give in... think of the other team... the Giants!

Bill H

Maybe the Jets should be called the NJ Jets. How is this any different for Jets than the Old Brooklyn Dodgers or NY Giants. Just because they were taken to California....we were not allowed to call them the former name. Yes, it in in another State. I don't think 2800 miles makes a difference. The Jets do everything in NJ so they should be called the NJ Jets....just the the change for the Dodgers and Giants. B

danielle

I think Jersey Jets has a nice ring to it. I agree with the Governor 100%.

susan lee

I wish the Jets well, but the bottom line is that the Jets along with the Giants bailed on New York. Playing temporarily was always questionable but accepted. Choosing to invest and build a new facilty in N.J. is unacceptable. There is plenty of land in NYC and both teams chose another state. The state of N.J. benefits from the revenue generated by our so called N.Y. teams.
thankyou

ralph r

I think N.Y. MAYOR MIKE SHOULD TAKE BACK OUR JETS AND BUILD THEM A FIELD .PLEASE MAYOR MIKE FELLOW N.Y.ER

JOHN C LONG ISLAND

HEY CHRISTIE JUMP ON THE BAND WAGON YOU FRONT RUNNER YOU HAVE GOT NO SHOT TO CALL THEM THE N.J. JETS GO CLEAN UP THE STATE YOU RUN. BY THE WAY HOW MANY PLAYERS CAN U NAME ON THE JETS OR THE GIANTS WITHOUT SOMEONE HELPING U.

JOHN C LONG ISLAND

I dont believe it the jets have been playing in that swamp in n.j. for years and i never heard anyone say that they were a n.j. team. Now all of the sudden they are one game away from the super bowl and the people who live in n.j.are saying oh no wait a minute they are not a n.y. team they belong to us. listen governor (christie) chrissy oh im sorry gov sissy they have always been the N.Y. JETS and they will never be called anything else. GO JETS THE NEW YORK JETS J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS .

TwhY

I'm a lifelong resident of jersey let the jets and giants keep there new york name..just name the stadium the New Jersey Stadium..so every time there an event in it there no doubt where it's being played

Ken Schneider

The Dallas Cowboys do not play in Dallas, they play in Irving. The Redskins play in Landover Maryland as the Buffalo Bills do not play in Buffalo but in Orchard Park. So what is Gov. Christies problem.

Dennis Michael Iler

The New York City skyline rises majestically 8 miles away in the background of the Meadowlands Stadium. It is of course well within the 75 mile perimeter of the New York metropolitan area. The New York Jets,as well as the Giants, should keep being identified as being from New York City.

Brooklyn

Oh man, first of all, who pays all the bills and costs of new stadiums - New York. I don't see Christie trying to include NJ in any of the financial planning of the teams. This shouldn't be a touchy subject for New Jersey or their politicians, because when it comes to finances they turn the other way. I mean you guys could request to have your own team then, and funded by your own business people. Yes, one of the Johnson family members owns the Jets, but where does he live? NEW YORK CITY! The Giants and Jets LEASE the land from New Jersey and that's it. New Jersey is just a landlord, which doesn't give them the right to have the team as theirs when they're only collecting checks! To be honest, the only part of the finance transaction that Jersey takes part of is putting their hands out to receive payments for the stadium space. THAT'S IT! I don't think that New Jersey should try to claim glory on a New York team without paying for it. AND NOT ALL NYC people are Giants fans, a lot yes, but not ALL. Even if that was the case the Giants are in New Jersey too, so does that make it your team as well, but they're out so no one in NJ wants to claim them as their team now, or at least not until they make it through again.....The money is there to make New Jersey an extended parking lot for our football teams to play, and that's about it....New Jersey an extended parking lot of New York City! You should concentrate on the Devils and your time that you have left with the Nets before they come over to Brooklyn.

Lee

Kudos to Gov. Christie. It's about time a NJ Gov. had what it takes to touch on a sore subject that's been danced around by NJ Governors for years. When a pro team moves from one state to another they ALWAYS take that states name....except for the Giants and Jets. They are the ONLY teams in pro ball that do not represent the state they play in. So they originated in NY. Big deal. So have many other teams who have moved out. They are not still called NY! They pratice in NJ and they play in NJ, and the Giants' home office is here in NJ too. The teams should be named NJ. If not, they should find their way back over the river. There are plenty of teams who would love this stadium and be happy to be called NJ. As for the Jets, quite honestly NY can have them. It's the Giants the NJ residents really want....Superbowl champs or not!

Bill McMonigle

Had the same discussion years ago. The NFL will not let them change the name due to loosing revenue from the sale of their merchandise.

dee dee

Before they were the New York Jets, they were called the New York Titans. They played at the Polo Grounds in New York. Since the Polo Grounds were torn down, New Jersey offered New York Teams to play there.
I think New York should build a stadium and end the feud.

Jeannine

I think the Jets and the Giants are New Jersey teams!!!! Every team in the NFL that moved earned the name of their new location. Why should the Giants or the Jets be any different. I could understand calling them a New York team if they actually played in New York State, but since they play in a different state I feel they should let go of the New York name. If the Jets win the Super Bowl their parade should be in their hometown in Jersey!!!!

Lee

Paula Minsky

Remember when the BROOKLYN Dodgers moved to L.A? They became L.A. Dodgers. My husband still roots for L.A. but he remembers the great times he spent at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, NY. I don't want the Jets to be N J. How manys teams do we have to give away? I think all the original NY teams should keep their original state.

Kerry Gander

I disagree with Governor Christie. I think the Ny Jets should just keep their name. They are so close to the superbowl. I don't think there is reason for him to change their name. Let's go all the way Jets!!!!

Danny T

I think that they should be called the New Jersey Jets. because when everyone wanted a new staduim New York didn't put no money in it. It was the teams and New Jersey.. Same thing with the Giants.. so i think that Gov. Christie is right they should be the New Jersey Jets

Rick

Lifelong New Yorker, I grew up near Shea. The Governor has a legitimate point. Look at The Colts. The Giants went through this a few years ago too. Then they put the NY back on their helmets. If New York wants to call these teams NY it should have done what it could to keep them playing in NY

kathryn mckenna

Which state collects the state taxes for New york Jets, is it New York or New Jersey??

Maybe the NY Jets should belong to the state where it pays its state taxes..

kathryn mckenna

Which state collects the state taxes for New york Jets, is it New York or New Jersey??

Ryan J.

The Jets and the Giants represents the New York metropolitan area that's why they have "New York" in the name. When the Giants won the Super Bowl XLII, they held a parade in New York and New Jersey on the same day.

J. Harrington

The only team thatis a N.Y. team is the Buffalo Bills. Where do the Jets pay taxes? N.J. Where do the Giants pay taxes? N.J. Where do the Buffalo Bills pay taxes? New York. Guess that answers the question.

Rax Brun

Pro teams must keep their names (no lakes in L.A.) The only place to build a stadium (We've had two in my lifetime)is on top of a stopped-up river. The Jets should be called The Hackensack Jets.

Matthew S.

New York already has three teams, can they give one up?

mark p.

Im from new york if we really cared what they were called we should of built the stadium on the west side.As a new yorker we have no right to have a say about because they are right.

micheal

NEW JERSEY JETS REALLY......

Agnes Johnson

Name the team after both states and keep everyone happy and give NJ the recognition it deserves after all the home stadium for the Jets are in NJ

Matthew S.

Has anyone ever heard the nickname "Jerseys Jets"?

Tam NJ

Of course they should be the NJ Jets. They PLAY IN NJ. With that, NJ puts up with the traffic, pollution and general messes that come from football games, and NJ pays the NJ State Troopers to maintain a semblance of order on the field and around the stadium before/during/after games. NJ taxes pay Troopers. Go figure. Yeah, we'll take them here in NJ, good season or bad. Let's rename the Giants too while we're at it. THEY PLAY HERE TOO.

Jerry

Yes, they play, practice and have their offices in NJ, and probably should be called the New Jersey Jets. The reason they are NY is bacause Jersey sucks so much, and have always been in the shadow of the greatness of NY. Their popularity, recognition and revenue would suffer if they were called NJ.

micheal

NOOO!!! NEW YORK JETS FOREVER

Agnes Johnson

Nj should get some recognition after all this is where their home stadium is.

Lorraine Bernhofer

They should be known as The NEW JETS from now on. Just drop the state all together. It doesn't matter where they play. They seem like a whole new team anyway, since they are playing better than ever. Let's not give the credit to the state, let's give it to the TEAM.

Carmine Lengua

Both the Jets and the Giants should rightfully change their names to Jersey Jets and Jersey Giants. They play and practice in New Jersey, don't they?
When the Dodgers and Giants moved to L.A. and S.F. respectively, they didn't keep 'Brooklyn' and 'New York in their names.

Conor

Go ahead Jersey, take the Jets. It doesn't have any loyal fans here anyway. The New York Giants are the real New York Team!

Leroy

NJ is just mad because the Nets are coming to Brooklyn!!!

Chris

They started in New York and will always be NY Jets. They should be playing on the west side

Robeta Daley

We were with the Jets when they lost and won now since there WINNERS yes winners of the superbowl Jersey wants there name no way NEW YORK JETS! JETS! JETS! ALL THE WAY NO STOP FLIGHT TO THE SUPERBOWL

Matthew S.

Jets are Jerseys team. It has a nice ring, and most people that live in new york are giants fans. Most people in JERSEY are J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS fans.

Jane Nass

Both the Giants and the Jets are located in NJ, and therefore should be named accordingly. NJ is like Rodney Dangerfield...we get no respect. No other major league team, no matter what sport, plays in a particular state is given credit for playing in a different state.

Manny Figueredo

They should be called the NJ Jets and Giants. Even though they are from NY. Do we still call the San Francisco Giants the NY Giants and the LA Dodgers the Brooklyn Dodgers....NOOOOOO, So I say change the name.

sharwane

The Jets are a NY team. When they are winning everyone wants to claim them.

Josh Wells

New York Jets? New Jersey Jets? How about
NEW Jets!

Mike

Well Chuck I do believe they pay their income tax to NJ. That makes them the NJ JETS. Sorry Chuck

dv

Its the NY Jets!
Wherever the stadium is, they still play for NY. The actual arena doesn't have to be in the actual city limits. Northern NJ falls under the umbrella of the NY metropolitan area, its still NY Jets. People are just being too territorial.

I suppose the Redskins have to be renamed the Maryland Redskins too then. That sounds silly, just like NJ Jets does.

F Taormina

Sooooooo, how come when the J-E-T-S were loosing nobody cared if they were called the allgonquin JETS? They are and always will be the NY jets...and i hate them and I am a BIG BLUE FAN!!!!!

Steven

New Jersey Jets? Just because the Jets are doing good this year and are going to the superbowl, gov. christie wants a name change? who does he think he is...

wayne

If they change the name to New Jersey Jets, they might as well wear skirts!

j

Everyone relax!! Keep the JETS in NY! Everyone is getting excited about these stupid Jets! They are going to LOSE to the Steelers Sunday!!! Christie..Just worry about the budget etc and not the damn Jets!

pattie

Yes they should always be remembered as the NY JETS because of where they came from but they are not a New York team anymore. It is time that they change the name to something else. Like the Patriots they represent all of the New England States. The JETS need to be called The Tri State JETS. New York only has one team and that is Buffalo. Not saying they are better but they are the only team that play in New York.

Barry

Tell Bloomberg to go root for his Patriots since he is from New England. Stop trying to "rob" New Jersey's winning team.

Joanne Grabowski

Why are we always fighting. Why can't we harmonize and share and have a generic name like the Tri State Jets? Everybody wants a piece of the action. Why don't we give it to them.

Sam

I agree with Governor Christie. The Jets played in NY as the NY Jets from 1963 to 1983 (approximately 20 years). They have been playing in NJ since 1984 to present (approximately 26 years). I think it is time the Jets honor the state they play in, a state who gave them a home, and the state where they are headquartered.

Mike

NEW YORK Jets!!!! They were born and raised in Queens and Hempstead. Just because it is cheaper to have facilities in NJ, doesn't mean there should be a name change.....c'mon.

Jim

Gov Christie is just jealous of New York and the people that run New York. He's a negative person and good luck to all of you New Jersey people. He has a one track mind. Enjoy

Adam H

Although they are located in NJ, geographically, of course...the money still says "NEW YORK". Just like you can pay for a name on a stadium, you can pay to have whatever name you'd like. New York it is.

patricia

are u kidding me christie. new york jets will stay new york jets. now that they are winning you want to change the name? band wagoner!

John

New york had a chance to get them back in NY a few years ago. Only NY prevented them from coming back, thanks, MR. Dolan. They are New Jersey and should be called the NJ Jets!!

Lamont Simpson

Since the Jets do actually have a stadium and play they're home games in the state of New Jersey, they should be called by the state name of which they play in and are from. The Nets of the NBA do and so do the Devils of the NHL. For that matter, the Giants should be called "New Jersey Giants" as well. If the NFL still has the so-called "Fifty-Mile" rule, it should not apply to a team that crosses a state line. Only to a team still in the same state such as the New England Patriots formerly the Boston Patriots. New York means playing here, not just using the name to glorify yourselves. Play in New Jersey, say you're from New Jersey.

Steven

The Jets originate from New York. Played at Shea, practiced at Hofstra. Woody Johnson decided to go kiss the Giants rear ends and start a merger with them. It was a big betrayal for those on Long Island. And what's the point? They play right alongside the Hudson River anyway. Also, they probably want to keep the New York name, b/c it is a big city name you know?

heirsoftheking

I've called them the New Jersey Jets ever since they moved to New Jersey in 1984. I call the Giants the New Jersey Giants, too. The only NFL team that plays their home games in NY (State) is the Buffalo Bills.

Dripps

Jersey Jets does have a nice ring. Makes perfect sense to me.

Eula D

Does Gov Christie REALLY wanna start a fight over the Jets?? Ummm, has he ever seen their logo??? The location in NJ is just a rental property, and it CAN be changed.
