Delivery rider madness

An Upper West Side Community Board is threatening to withhold their much-needed support for sidewalk and liquor-license renewals to restaurants with menacing cyclists who ignore bike-safety measures.  Eyewitness News wants to hear what you think.  Have you been or almost been involved in an accident with a delivery bike?  Tell us your story and it could end up on Eyewitness News.  Tune in tonight for a full report.

Government is looking for another excuse to intrude on people's lives and cheat those who need food stamps. This is a personal choice to buy certain food items. People need to take responsibility for the choices they make. Government needs to worry about Daycare workers who have to be educated like Public school teachers and be paid far below them and do not qualify for food stamps The Mayor and Governor need to look at the middle class and the working poor people who need food stamps and can't get it also. Look into the MTA's constant need to raise fares and cutting service. They need a forensic auditor. They need the investigation!

I'm nervous driving, much less walking, around these renegade bikers. A couple years ago, a delivery bike crashed into the side of my car as I was making a left past a long truck double parked at the corner. The bike, having ridden between the truck and parked cars, shot out into the intersection and hit me. But there's no way a driver can see (or foresee) a bicyclist shooting out illegally from between parked vehicles into an intersection at 12 m.p.h. Fortunately, in this case, no one was hurt - because if someone had been, I, as driver, would inevitably have been blamed.
