Mirror Ball Win a First for New 'Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars' Champions

The finale kicked off with all of the contestants from this season dancing with each other!  They really looked like they were having a great time out there.  Then their pro partners joined in the dance too.  I think this cast really bonded with each other like none other.  It was a great way to start the show!

Finale Performances Don't Disappoint on 'Dancing With the Stars: All Stars'

It’s finally here, the big finale of “Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars”.

Kellyvalfinale1
Kelly & Val are the only couple in the final three who have yet to get a 10.  We’ll see if they can change that tonight!  They danced their passionate Paso Doble from earlier this season.  They of course kicked it up a notch!  They were so crisp and had their eyes locked on each other the entire time.  Their spins were just dizzyingly great!  Len said that it was their best dance to date back on week three and he still thinks it is at week 10!  Bruno called her a fire angel and said that they ignited drama and had a lot of artistry and polish.  Carrie Ann said she was very proud of her but did call them up for a little slip up.  I wasn’t sure if it was a mistake at first, but on the replay you saw her take an extra step and look a teensy bit lost at first.

Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 9.5, Len – 10, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 29.5 out of 30.  I think the other judges should have deducted a tiny bit for the mistake as well just to be fair, but oh well!

All three couples will perform their favorite routine from the season, as well as a Super-Sized Freestyle. For their Freestyle, they'll be allowed to add extra performers, incorporating all kinds of lifts and tricks to create an out-of-this-world entertaining routine.

In the two-hour Season Finale on Tuesday, we'll see all of our favorite eliminated couples perform their most memorable dance of the season as well as the final three couples perform and instant routine for judges scores.  They'll be given their music and dance style just minutes before they must perform live. Then, one lucky couple will win the Mirror Ball Trophy!

The fun begins tonight from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. on ABC!

Two Couples Eliminated, Remaining Three Head to the Finals

To kick off this big elimination night, the judges chose Apolo and Karina’s dance from last night to see again.  It was very lyrical and beautiful!

Derekshawn
Shawn and Derek were first up to learn they were going to be in the finals or not.  And, no surprise here, they are!  I can’t wait to see their freestyle!

Wanted
After the AT&T Spotlight performance, “The Wanted” performed two of their hits.  It’s a British boy band!  Then they performed a song I actually recognized, “I’m Glad You Came”.  They redeemed themselves in the second half of their performance with this song, it was much better than the first half in my book.

Stars Emerge with Perfect Scores as Others Struggle on 'Dancing with the Stars'

This week all of the dances are off of “Bad25” which is an album made for the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s “Bad” album.  It started with the troupe dancing to “Smooth Criminal”.  Then, it transitioned to “The Way You Make Me Feel”, with the ladies and it was really amazing!

Melissatony1
Melissa and Tony were up first with their “Caveman Hustle”.  Tony had a back injury during rehearsal, but he was cleared to dance!  This was just weird.  Oddly, it was still great because they are good dancers and they did some amazing moves.   Tony flipped her over at one point and spanked her!  Yikes, isn’t this a family show?  They did some fantastic lifts as well.  I loved when you could actually recognize the Hustle.  I think they did a great job with a very difficult combo!  Len said that she never disappointed and he said Tony had the muscle and she had the Hustle!  Bruno called her a bombshell but he noticed that she missed her footing a bit on some of the Hustle turns.  Carrie Ann said it was a great job during the caveman portion but thought her balance was off during the Hustle.

Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9.5, and Bruno – 9, for a total of 27.5 out of 30.  Len really does love her!

Disappointing Eliminations on 'Dancing With the Stars'

This week’s double elimination started off with Kylie Minogue singing “The Locomotion”.  She looked fantastic, but sounded a little off…anyone else think so?

Melissa

The two couples who scored the highest the past two weeks, Melissa & Tony and Shawn & Derek, were up first for their results.  Melissa & Tony were the first to learn that they were in the semi finals!  Shawn & Derek were also safe and in the semi finals despite that dismal 7 they earned from Len last night.

Trio Dances a Bit Strange, but Other Dances Honored Service Members

The DWTS open was messed up and after five minutes of commercials, they introduced the stars and the show got started.

Shawnderek1
The first round of dances paid tribute to the service members of America in honor of Veteran’s Day.  Shawn and Derek were up first with their Viennese Waltz.  It was really beautiful and full of amazing extensions.  They were so graceful on the dance floor and the crowd went wild at the end of their dance.  Len said that it was quiet, gentle, and poignant, but he would have liked a little more in hold.  Bruno called the dance heavenly perfection.  Carrie Ann said that she felt the chills!  She thought the dance was amazing.

Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 9.5, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 29.5 out of 30.

It’s a big night on “Dancing With the Stars”!  Not only do last week’s scores get added to this week’s, but there will be a DOUBLE elimination tomorrow!  There will be two rounds of competition tonight for the seven remaining couples, a Ballroom and Latin round.

 Dancingwiththestarsnew

Brooke Burke-Charvet Reveals She has Cancer

The 41-year-old "Dancing With the Stars" co-host revealed that she has thyroid cancer.

Brooke burke

"I need to have thyroid surgery and a thyroidectomy, which means I'm going to have a nicebig scar right here across my neck," Burke-Charvet, 41, said on The ModernMom YouTube channel. "I don't get to just walk around and pretend like nothing happened or not follow up or not share it, because it's going to be pretty much dead center."

Apparently, Burke-Charvet had a physical with her doctor where they found a nodule and couldn't tell if it was cancerous or benign, but after some testing it revealed that it was cancerous.

The mother of four reports that her doctor has given her a positive prognosis.  You can read more about this from People Magazine.
