Carrie Ann Takes a Tumble, 'Guilty Pleasures' Week
Right off the bat I was a little disappointed that we were going to have to wait to see the “Gangnam Style” dance tomorrow. Tonight it is team Shawn with “Call Me Maybe”. Before we get to the team dance, we will see some individual dances first.
Kelly and Val were up first with their Samba to “I
Want You Back”. It started off very
sexy, but it took a while until they finally danced in hold. I was waiting for it and waiting for it! She looked a little awkward with some of her
hip movements, but the choreography was really fun to watch. Also, he is CONSTANTLY kissing her; I totally
think something is going on there, anyone else?
Len said it was a little longwinded getting started. He said there were elements that he liked but
it was a tad on the raunchy side for him.
Bruno said that she was a tasty tease and he loves the way she spots in
her spins but she had a forced bounce.
Carrie Ann said she seemed a little unsure and her top was a little
disconnected from the bottom. She added
that it wasn’t Kelly’s best dance.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Len – 8, and Bruno – 8.5, for a total of 24.5 out of 30. I think that extra .5 from Bruno was a bit generous.
Next, Gilles and Peta danced the Rumba to Whitney
Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. I’ll
admit it, he’s my favorite! I really
couldn’t wait to see this dance and I was not disappointed! I loved how they kind of looked like Kevin
Costner and Whitney Houston as far as their costumes go from “The
Bodyguard”. He slid her across the floor
and then they busted out their sexy hip action.
My only criticism is that it seemed too short! The crowd went wild! Carrie Ann loved it and gave Gilles a
kiss! Bruno said that was not a dance
that was master class theater. He said
that he expressed every movement as if it were words. He gave him lots of credit for dancing to the
beginning part without music.
Carrie Ann
yelled “Let baby making begin!” and then she fell out of her chair! She really did seem to whack her head on the
stair of their judges’ platform. Tom
Bergeron joked that he didn’t expect her to get into baby making position with
that comment! She was referencing the
fact that he and his wife listened to that song when they decided to have a
baby. Len said he turned October into
Hotober! He said the only thing he was
concerned about was that he lifted his leg up a lot.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 9.5, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 29.5 out of 30!
Kirstie and Maks danced the Quick Step to
Kirstie’s guilty pleasure song “Mrs. Robinson”.
Love this song! She looked really
elegant out there. It’s a nice song
choice because Kirstie kind of is Maks’ “Mrs. Robinson”! If you don’t know what I’m talking about then
watch the old movie “The Graduate”. I
loved the end where they went behind a screen and you saw their silhouettes as
they kissed! Cute! Carrie Ann said that it was her best dance by
miles and she looked very elegant and her carriage was lifted. Len said that it was her best dance and she
was dancing to the maximum. Bruno said
that she had great variation and great runs.
They all noted a little boo boo in the routine but it was no biggie.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 8.5, Len – 8.5, and Bruno – 8.5, for a total of 25.5 out of 30. Great scores!
Emmitt and Cheryl danced Samba to the “Copacabana”
by Barry Manilow. Emmitt came out
shakin’ and that was just the beginning.
I loved the energy and the fun they brought to the dance. He had great arm extensions. He really brought his A game this week! They did fabulous! Len said that it was well done! Bruno said that he was always switched on and
he delivers absolute pleasure. Carrie
Ann said that no one does Samba like he does and he has the “Samba Swagger”!
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 9.5, Len – 9.5, and Bruno – 10, for a 29 out of 30!
Then it was time for the team freestyle dance to
“Call Me Maybe”. The team consisted of Sabrina Bryan &
Louis Van Amstel, Shawn Johnson & Derek Hough, Apolo Anton Ohno &
Karina Smirnoff, and Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani. Of course Melissa was there to dance despite
hitting her head during rehearsal. I
never had a doubt that she would be there, they usually blow these “injuries”
up to be worse than they actually are. They
were jocks and cheerleaders and danced on some desks to start. They were very in sync! It was like watching “Bring it On”! All of the girls on this team are really
athletic! There was a little mistake
where they almost dropped Melissa’s leg when they were using her like a human
jumping rope. Other than that, it looked
fantastic! Len said that it was quality
and that they were great as individuals and groups. He also liked (as did I) how each of the
couples had their own cool introduction with the choreography. Bruno also noted the same thing! He added that it was almost impossible to
tell who the professionals were and who the celebrities were. Carrie Ann also said that it was tight and
she loved it.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 9.5, Len – 10, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 29.5 out of 30! Wow!
Tomorrow we will see the other four couples dance their individual dances and we will see team “Gangnam Style”!

so glad Carrie ann Inaba fell she is a rude selfish person and a phony when she filled in on live w/kelly I was in the audience and she was very cold to the audience now I can see why her engagement was called off
