Maks Talks About What He Meant to Say, As Another Star Falls

After last night, I have to admit, I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen between Maks and the judges.  Would they make up and be nice to each other or could it blow up even worse?

Len started off by saying it was a mix of frights, fights and delights.  He said that there were two outstanding performances, but they chose J.R. and Karina to show off their Quick Step again.  They did amazing, of course!  It was just so light and carefree, but obviously complex.  I think Ricki and Derek have their work cut out for them in the weeks going forward to defeat these two in the end!

They stood alone on the stage to find out if they were safe or in jeopardy.  No surprise here, J.R. and Karina were safe!

Emmy and Tony winning actress Kristin Chenoweth performed "Lessons Learned" from her new album, "Some Lessons Learned." Pro dancers Tony Dovolani and Dasha Chesnokova danced a very energetic yet passionate performance.  I love Kristin Chenoweth but I didn’t think that song highlighted what an amazing vocalist she is!  It had such a slow start, but she sounded amazing as usual.

Then it was time for results for Ricki Lake & Derek Hough and Nancy Grace & Tristan McManus.  The next couple safe was Ricki & Derek.  That’s no surprise either.  As for Nancy & Tristan, they were shockingly safe as well!

In a behind the scenes interview segment where the stars talk about how tough things have been, Hope says she’s been enduring hateful comments from people who are telling her she looks like a man and that she has balls!  I was shocked first of all that they allowed that to be said on a family show, but that it wasn’t bleeped at all.  I guess balls is an ok word!  Anyway, that’s horrible, Hope is gorgeous!

Corbin Bleu and the Macys Stars of Dance put on a Broadway medley dance performance.  It was stunning!  He really is a triple threat!  He showed off his singing and dancing skills, and those who remember him from his Disney days know he can act!  For those who don’t know, he also starred in the Broadway hit “In the Heights” and he did an amazing performance of the title song from that show.  I expect big things from him!

Martina McBride returned to the ballroom with a spectacular performance of "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," the hit single from her new album, "Eleven".  Pro dancers Chelsie Hightower and Val Chmerkovskiy did a beautiful lyrical dance to the song.  It was great to see Chelsie again!

Next, David Arquette & Kym Johnson and Chaz Bono & Lacey Schwimmer were up for their results.  Chaz was clearly hurt by Bruno’s “penguin” comment last night, but didn’t get the chance to respond to the video clip that was played.  David & Kym learned that they were safe despite a few missteps last night, while Chaz & Lacey learned that they were in jeopardy.

Mark and Lacey did a dance with some little kids to get everyone excited about the big Halloween episode next Monday!  It was adorable, and those kids were so talented!

Backstage, Hope said that she fully supported Maks’ comments from last night.  Maks said that he felt the need to vent and he apologized about how it came out.  He said it is not his show and he’s part of a large cast and he wanted to clarify that.  He did say that while the judges are entitled to their opinions so are they!  Well said Maks!  The judges last night heard what Maks said backstage and they were clearly appalled by what was said as a group.

Despite the drama, it was time for more results.  Rob Kardashian & Cheryl Burke learned that they were safe, while Hope Solo & Maksim Chmerkovskiy found out that they were in jeopardy.

In the end, it came down to Chaz & Lacey and Hope & Maks.  I must say, I think it’s weird they make them stand at the top of the stairs and then walk down.  I’m just waiting for someone to fall down them (I probably would).  But, it proved that Chaz & Lacey’s time on the show had run out.  Despite lasting longer than many thought they would, it was time for Chaz to go.  He did a great job, worked very hard, but now it’s down to skill.  Hope & Maks get another chance to prove the judges wrong next week for the big Halloween show.

You can see Chaz and Lacey on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” tonight!

I know their is a reason i like Maks, not afraid to speak his mind, remember the truth shall set you free, Lens was picking on Maks from day one and the poster boy can do no wrong, i would like to see the day Derek get a partner with on dancing background, Ricki a dancer in Hairspray, Go Maks

Barbara and David

We believe that Maks is totally frustrated seeing Stars with no skill outlast Stars with great potential or with better skills than certain ones who seem to be scored on a different basis. It is also very frustrating to see how certain Stars receive kit glove treatment by the judges (especially stars with "revered" iconic entertainer type relations or stars who have an agenda to push that runs outside of mainstream society.)Is the premise of this show to develop quality dancers from those who come with no experience and to entertain the viewers or is it to promote personal causes, or to ellicit a "sympathy" vote, or to be a vehicle for any and everything but dancing? Let whoever wants to participate do so, but let's treat everyone the same and lets allow the only personal agenda of the participants to be winning the Mirror Ball because the winner is THE BEST DANCER ! We, like Maks, feel the frustration and cannot stand another moment of what the show is becoming. We don't blame Maks one bit BUT we think the remark regarding another's need to think about retiring is wrong and disrespectful even though it came from frustration and loyalty to his partner. This show which was once one of our favorites, is losing us to the Xfactor and it is NOT because of Maks!

Dancing with the stars is a great show but it's getting out of hand with the judges. I think they should not belittle the contestants like they have been doing they are not professionals they are trying their best but I guess it comes down to who they are. Time for new judges..........

The judges should comment on the performance, I actually felt bad for Chaz, "penguin" was mentioned a few times and that wasn't nice. The stars are not "Pro's" and judges should remember that, this is not tough love time, it's all about the DANCE.
