Hines and Kym Dazzle After Her Injury, But Chelsea and Mark are Close Behind

It was a dance packed night on “Dancing With the Stars”.  The stars had hardly any time to take a breather, because they each had 3 and in some cases 4 dances to perform!

 Dwtsnew

Ralphkarina9
First, Ralph and Karina danced their Argentine Tango.   This is always my favorite dance because of the lifts!  I wasn’t a fan of their circus magician music, and I also found that their feet seemed slightly out of sync.  They did have good strong arms though.  There was one part where Karina does a little jump at the end and Ralph is supposed to provide a little lift support, and he totally did not.  The dance did have good intensity though.  Len said that it lacked emotion, but he found it to be sharp and precise and thought they did a good job.  Bruno said that something was stirring when he was at the lamppost but then it fell flat and he needed to see more of a Latin lover.  Carrie Ann said that she sees Ralph dancing better and is glad he wasn’t in pain, but she said that she agreed with Bruno and he needs to find a way to get the emotion all the way down to his feet.

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 8, Len – 9, and Bruno – 8, for a total of 25 out of 30.

Kirstiemaks9
Kirstie and Maks followed with their Viennese Waltz.  I loved Kirstie’s look.  Her dress was beautiful and she looked like a Disney princess or something!  It was an elegant dance with a lot of flow.  They also had high energy and intensity through the whole dance.  It was her best dance yet in my opinion.  Bruno said that she was on the crest of a wave the whole time; he added that it was well done.  Carrie Ann said that the holds were amazing, the technique was amazing, and she thought they transformed the ballroom.  Len said that Kirstie had beautiful posture, great sweeping movements, and said that she did well.

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9, and Bruno – 9, for a total of 27 out of 30.

Chelseamark8
Chelsea and Mark were up next with their Argentine Tango (yay more lifts).  This was so sultry, they looked like they were going to start making out right on the dance floor.  The moves all had a burst of intensity behind them and the lifts were just beautiful.  He floated her right up off the ground.  Carrie Ann said that she thought the dance was not up to par and that Chelsea didn’t finish her movements and she thought her legs didn’t look strong.  Len said that her legs lacked authority, but it was clean and precise, he also thought the lifts had character and that it was a great performance.  Bruno said that they played it well, and he liked how intriguing and restrained it was.  He said that while Len and Carrie Ann didn’t get it, he did and so will America!

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 28 out of 30.

Hineskym8
Hines and Kym’s dramatic rehearsal footage was shown.  It was really crazy to watch.  In the video, he’s lifting her and trying to flip her around between his body, loses his grip on her, she falls and then he falls on top of her neck!  Fortunately, she’s going to be OK and she didn’t have to wear her neck brace tonight.  For their Argentine Tango, they clearly toned down the lifts and stuck with simple ones.  They left the hard stuff for their feet.  I loved the dancing on the table in the beginning and they both brought sexiness to the dance.  Hines makes every move look so easy!  Once the dance ended, Hines started crying and then Kym did too.  Len said that their legs were like Kama Sutra and said, “That’s a Tango!”  Bruno said it was like watching a battle of wills between man and woman and that it was like good sex that you never want to end!  Carrie Ann was also brought to tears and said that she is so happy Kym is OK and that she was so impressed with Hines and how he supported her throughout the dance and that they have a connection that goes beyond what they ask for.

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 10, and Bruno – 10, for a perfect score 30 out of 30.

Ralphkarina8
Time for round two:  Ralph and Karina came back out with their Salsa.  I for one loved it!  They were in their cheetah print and shaking it like nobody’s business.  I loved Ralph’s booty pad, it gave him the confidence to really come out and shake it.  Their hips were moving and their spins were fantastic.  It was so much fun to watch.  Len said that the dance had no rhythm, it was too much in your face, and he thought it was wild.  Bruno said that his legs were too wide and that he was too rough with his partner.  Carrie Ann said that oddly enough, she liked it and thought it was the most fun she’s seen Ralph ever have on the dance floor.

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 8, Len – 7, and Bruno – 8, for a total of 23 out of 30 and a combined score of 48 out of 60, that’s really the pits.

Kirstiemaks8
Kirstie and Maks’ second dance was the Paso Doble.  I thought Kirstie could have used some stronger arms in this dance.  They had great speed, and nice in sync leg and foot movements.  It did seem like she was starting to lose her breath toward the end of the dance though.  Bruno said that it was fiery, like an erupting volcano, and that she is a force of nature.  Carrie Ann called Kirstie “the Queen of the Paso”.  She thought the dance was hot.  Len said that Kirstie and Maks had two of their toughest dances tonight and they danced fabulous!

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9, and Bruno – 9, for a total of 27 out of 30 and a combined score of 54 out of 60.

Chelsea and Mark’s Rumba was another hit!  It was so sensual.  They lit up the dance floor in their pink outfits.  They dance so perfect together all the time, it’s amazing!  Carrie Ann said that this dance was more like what she wanted to see from the beginning.  Len said that Chelsea had lovely legs and that she fulfilled her potential as a dancer.  Bruno said that the dance was beautiful, romantic, and it was perfectly pitched.

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 10, and Bruno – 10, for a perfect 30 out of 30 and a combined score of 58 out of 60.

Hines and Kym were back out for more and this time they were shaking things up with their Salsa.  He got his hips moving this time!  I loved their great vibrant costumes as well.  Hines had a great, strong frame and did a wonderful job leading Kym.  Overall, I was really impressed with this performance.  Len said that he loved it; he thought that he danced with joy and it was a joy to watch.  Bruno said that he’s just beautiful and that the dance was supremely watchful.  Carrie Ann said that she gets so much joy when Hines dances.

Their Scores:  Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 10, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 30 out of 30 and a combined score of a perfect 60 out of 60.

Finally, it was time for the Cha Cha Cha dance off!  Hines and Kym went first and showed off their fancy footwork.  Ralph and Karina with her lovely long legs went next and they showed just how fast their feet could move.  They also had a really impressive dip at the end.  In the end, the judges chose Hines and Kym to move on to the next round.

Chelsea and Mark did their Cha Cha Cha next and it was perfection.  I really enjoyed this sultry triple dip move that they did.  Kirstie and Maks did a more traditional Cha Cha, but also had great footwork.  The judges unanimously chose Chelsea and Mark to move on.

Then, there was a bizarre coin toss with Brooke Burke who clearly just doesn’t understand how it works.

Hines and Kym went first.  It seemed like his eyes got a little lost at one point, but he quickly recovered.  I just wish it looked slightly sharper.  Chelsea and Mark lit the floor up!  Everything was crisp and sharp.

The judges chose Chelsea and Mark as the Cha Cha Cha Champions and that gives them and extra 15 points!  That brings their judges scores up to 73 points!

Don’t miss Tuesday night’s elimination!  It’s going to be a doozy!  I think Ralph might have shaken his last booty.  Pitbull and Stevie Knicks will be on to perform!  The elimination starts at 9 p.m. and there’s a special on just before that at 8 p.m. highlighting the best and worst freestyle dances.

I take it you are a Chelsea fan as not one negative comment was made about her but all the others. I actually do not like her dancing, seems it looks the same every week.

Jennifer Matarese

I'm actually fans of all of them! I just didn't see anything wrong with her tonight :) It's anybody's game still I think.

kirstie needs to go home. Sorry, but her dancing is not good and I don't know why the judges favor her so much, Maybe because John Travolta is her friend! She is not a good dancer. Send her home and let the others finish competition.

Carol

Hines and Kym are the best. He has become a wonderful dancer and I definitely think they should win!!!!!!!!!!
