A Great Day Today in NYC!
A little cooler and lower humidity for today!
Good Morning,
The weakest of fronts did manage to press southward yesterday/early last night, and this
will effectively trim humidity levels today... As a result, with abundant sunshine today, most
dewpoint temperatures will roll back into the upper-50s and low-60s this afternoon... However,
we'll still be dealing with excessive warmth (or, just plain old 'heat', depending upon how close
your proximity is to the ocean) on this Tuesday... A high pressure system, both at the surface
and in the upper-levels of the atmosphere, is still going to be the driving force behind our
weather... Today will probably bring temperatures that will peak in the mid-80s in the City by 1 or
2 p.m. -- and then a shift in the winds to the south and east will cool things off a little later... The
warmest spots will be across interior northern and central New Jersey, while many of those
typically cooler coastal locations will fail to get out of the 70s... Tonight, it will be clear to partly
cloudy and warm...
As another front approaches tomorrow (Wednesday), there could be a morning shower or
thunderstorm in parts of upstate New York and across northern and central Pennsylvania --
followed by a couple of 'strong' thunderstorms along the coastal plain and along the I-95 corridor,
primarily during the afternoon and evening hours... Temperatures will be mostly in the 80s and
90s today and tomorrow, but should be lower by an average of 4-8 degrees on Thursday behind
the next front... The humidity will be on the uptick across the mid-Atlantic states and much of
the Northeast tonight and tomorrow, but should also be lowered by the passage of this next
front on Thursday... For the rest of the week, temperatures will still be above the seasonal
averages in most locations, although the closest we will be to 'more typical levels' for early in
June should be on Friday...
The weekend coming up looks like it will offer at least some sunshine both days, along with
temperatures that will be mostly in the 80s... More details will follow...
Have a good day !!!

I followed your advice on the rip tides. if you cant swim up to your knees, sure enough the life guards were jumping in for someone the who was being swept away in one. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it for myself. Keep those warning going and make people aware the more people know about the currents and rip tides the better. you are actually a life saver.

It's 89 degrees out and 9:39 p.m. Where's the cold front? So glad I turned my AC off when I left my house for dinner. According to you weather genius people, this front was supposed to pass through early on Wednesday....
I can do better looking out my window...

Now we have a great walkway that goes to the beach and to the canals that came from the partnership of community with government
