Thompson goes on the attack
William Thompson is turning up the heat on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The democrat is running his first attack ads of the race starting on Wednesday. One focuses on how Bloomberg had the term-limits law changed so he could run again. The other says New Yorkers are being squeezed
by fees and taxes.
by fees and taxes.

As a NYC teacher listening to Bloomberg in this second mayoral debate, I want him to know I am one of many people, esp. teachers, NOT happy with the quality of the education (and the enormous amount of test prep) we are forced to give our students under his leadership. Therefore, I will be voting for Thompson. However, it is important that all New Yorkers know the truth about the effect Mayor Bloomberg's control of the city's public schools for eight years has had. Diane Ravitch, a well-respected scholar, education historian, and education policy analyst, and others, have written the truth about what is going on in the Bloomberg/Klein schools. The title is "NYC Schools Under Bloomberg/Klein: What Parents, Teachers and Policymakers Need to Know." Go to www.lulu.com and download it for free. Read it before you go to the polls; there's not that much time left. We, the people, have it in our power to let Mr. Bloomberg know we really mean TWO terms only. Let's get him out and give Bill Thompson a chance!
